Howdy, my name is Emmett Burns. I'm a landscape and wildlife photographer from Colorado. I work as a park ranger in the most beautiful places on Earth for the National Park Service. Because of this invigorating career I am able to spend each summer in a new postcard-worthy place, with plenty of adventures on the way to the next destination. So far I have been lucky to put the label the states of Colorado, South Dakota, Alaska, New York, and Wyoming home. This summer I am lucky enough to spend my time in western Washington at Olympic National Park.

I've visited 33 of the current 63 national parks in our beautiful country, and passed through 34 states. I love learning the rich history we have preserved in our public lands across the country. I love capturing my adventures, and creating authentic photography based around an adventurous life. All the wildlife wild, and the mountains true.

I am so grateful to be able to live the life I do. Maybe one day I hang up my hat and stay put, but not anytime soon. I appreciate the time you've taken to visit this page and peek at my favorite shots. Who knows, maybe I'll be giving you a tour at the next national park you visit!
